7.14.09..."Ouuuuuucccchhhhhh...."

Oh yes, he warned me.
"Don't let the cloudy day fool ya, you still will get burned.." so he said.....
It was a very HOT day at the water park and we had a blast!
The sun came and went throughout the day...however it did get to a skin burning 105...yip.That's right folks. It felt hotter.

This was the Mr.'s first ever experience with flip flops. His lil' white precious feet has never seen daylight!
and. after this day. Probably not again. Even though he didn't blame me for talking him into wearing flip flops { last time he burned the bottom of his feet so bad and they were tender for days after...:( } I felt horrible! I spent yesterday going store to store , trying to find the perfect burn cream. He had to wear his steel toe boots to work. He said with every step , made it feel like sand paper was in his boots...oh yeah. I felt awful...just so guilty. So I found some good ol', "Aloe Vera" stuff at the health food store for him. :)

He had the worse time trying to get a pix of himself underwater! { I love this camera}
He'd go under with the camera and his feet were like fish out of water! It would slap and kick the surface! He'd smack me and the person next to him with them flippers of his! He came up with a smile on his face not having a clue he just took out the lil' kid next to him. Wondering when he came out of the water : "What'd I miss? What happened to him? Why is he getting CPR?" His legs went everywhere! I learned after like the 6th time he went underwater to CLEAR!!!
He'd come up and I was waaaaayyyy over there!
I just laughed at him :)

If I could get away with it, I'd wear these flotation devices on my arms.
The Mr. did the honors and modeled for me what it would look like.
I like'em. I'll take two pairs.

He's so cute :) Be still my beating heart.

Ta da! That's it :)
Now I'll be heavily armed with SPF 100 (what is the highest?) for my Mr. the next time we go :)

After this fun filled day we went and stuffed ourselves at "Outback". oh. my. land. The food was soooo good. I'm happy to announce, it's now on our Fav. list now. :)

***********Cute Story Alert!!!*******

So the Mr. and I , as we were at this water park( as I mentioned above). They have these computerized lockers and well sometimes , frankly they are a pain in the keester!
So we see this lil' Asian dude having trouble...he turns to us and say, " Dis take wot muney?" I look at him and try to read his lips...huh? he repeats himself...and I think about it.."OH! Does it take wet money!" We laaaaaaaugh and then I get serious, cuz he's not. laughing.
So I said "Well, I'm not sure. But let's try together.." failure. not working. he's getting a lil frustrated. So I said, "You know. What you could do is just lay all your money ( he had a ROLL of $20 bills) along the wall, here ( I pointed at the waist-level wall) and just let it dry!! It will dry reaaaaaalllly fast! " I said this with enthusiasm and encouragement! He just looked at me like I was the biggest idiot in the world.
He said, "Noooooooo!" with really wide and huge eyes!
My hubby laaaaaauuughed and laaaaaughed more of a.....geez -Jody-I- can't- take -you- anywhere-laugh!
Well, he should know me by now.

.7.11.09.."You were born to fly!"

Yes, ladies and gents that is a song by the one and only "Miss Sara Evans".
It was a hot and muggy night tonight, sitting out in the benches while the bugs ate you alive and while watching the gorgeous Sara Evans! She was so amazing and so worth every minute of it! She sang a song by Elvis, "Suspicious Minds." Oh my gosh! I love that song! The hubby and I sang it together ,goofing off. Brings back memories of my Mom dancing around the house when the came on the radio when I was a lil' girl. Oh the memories :)

We had the wonderful pleasure of spending this evening with the wonderful Fam. as you all know as..... "The wonderful Fam", how fitting, huh?
However, the "kids" picked up tickets for the Mr. and I, and what a great treat! :) After the concert was over we sat and watched everyone in the parking lot, try to bottle-neck their way out! We sat and watched that show until it died down then sca-dattled out of there! Then went for a lil' midnight clothes shopping for the Mr....{summer clothes he's not use to wearing.} Hey folks he's going from "Cinch jeans/Ariat boots" to "shorts/t-shirt/flip flops! You have no idea how this is a major change for him! I'm sooooooo proud of him. I can tell he's so miserable in all those clothes. He's gonna try flip flops! A country Boy! This is a big Deal, for those of you who know the Mr. you know...
However he and I are heading to play at the water park all day tomorrow(Sunday). Get all nice and burned :)

This will be our future boat. It's called a "Party Barge", so a good amount of people can fit on this boat and still be comfortable.

So we went down to the boat docks near our home to see what all the hub-bub was about. Boat trailers everywhere. Very beautiful out there.

So we sat and watched the sun set with NOT a soul in sight.

.7.9.09.."Our new life.."

The most wonderful husband, man, friend, buddy, girlfriend ( yes, he's a lil' gossip-er! Don't let this face fool ya! ha! ha!) in the world! He's settled in himself and loving it here! We both wake up with a huge smile every morning...after our "Check for spider-bites-body check" in the mornings..we are good... I don't CARE who YOU are! Spiders and GY-NORMOUS BUGS are not cool. Very CReEpY!! The size of these bugs will send Rambo up on a stool screaming like a school girl{.**Oh yeah, I'm not complaining about the bugs here...It's sharing/commenting/explaining the way of life here..*}
However, still not all the way un-packed.but close.

Boats.Boats.And more boats.You see them at night in the water, early in the morning. During the weekday..it's wonderful! How relaxing....sigh.......even though I can't swim and scared of water, we would like a boat still. I just told my Mr. that I'd have a life jacket around every limb of my body. Our dog would have a life jacket also! :)

We ate at this wonderful Mexican restaurant "Jose's" and it was sooooo good! :) I love the bar stools! Yes, I was looked at weird when I took this pic...I'm use to it.

Beautiful painting, huh? This is at the entrance of the "Oaklawn Racetrack". I just drooled and had to get pics...I love horses!! :) Even though TB's intimidate me...toooooooo big and massive.

I wish I could ride like that! Ride like the wind! :)

.7.8.09.."Yay-er! Feels good to be back!"

It feels great to be back! Alot has gone on since we've been gone...here are a couple photos to catch you up...
This is the "Bug Man". The Mr. called him the VERY NEXT morning after we arrived the prev. night! You all know how he's a FAN of spiders... The "Bug Man" pulled in and The Mr. greeted him like a long lost friend! He was in shock when we pulled out our cameras laughing and taking pics!

This is a dime compared to a DEAD cockroach we found!! EEEEKKKKKK!!!!

Sorry for the sideways stuff..... however the Mr. followed this man ALL around the outside of the house..pointing.." UGH! Did you get that area? What about that? Oh my gosh..look at that spider web!"

Look at the flippin size of this bug!!!! Compared to the size of his fingers! Yuk!!

Ahhhhh...the first meeting..he really thought we were strange! But he got to know us and actually took extra time with the Mr. and sprayed xtra! Lol!!

Overall, we love it here and can't wait to settle more in. Mr. and Mrs. Nettie {lol} have been wonderful! Miss Leanne and Mr. Timmy are the best kids! Very sweet, I love to the way the family get along. Makes me miss my family even more. I respect and love the connection they have. Being here, and hanging out with "The Fam" has made it easier to deal missing our families and our friends back home.

The weather isn't as bad as everyone was telling us! I was waiting for HOT weather and I'm all....that's it? This is it?...I love hot weather! I've been told it will get worse...but I enjoy it so far..maybe when I have to wear socks and shoes I'll hate it...if my feet are covered..I'm MISERABLE!!!!! Hate it in hot weather! Booo!!!
But I'll try to get to my blogging buddies blog and comment away!!

6.27.09.."Almost there?..."

This is where we are currently staying the night. Amarillo, Tx. After checking in...news flash! Flash Flood! EEK! Very warm here and raining...very nice. You won't be cold though!

These are our communicating devices...they are fabulous! We chit chat back and forth, warn each other of crazy stuff going on up ahead, let each other know when we have to pee!! Great lil' things!

Yay! For Texas, I like this state.

Booooooo!! for New Mexico..not a fan! All for us couldn't wait to get out of here!

"Are we there yet?"

Our lil' troopers! They are just hanging in there, cruising right along. I believe they are enjoying themselves! "Monkey Business" is playing the license plate game, playing her game boy, and texting...she's growing up so fast!

The Mr.'s Birthday Jerky! Les bought him a gift at one of our truck stops, isn't that sweet?!!

He displays it so proudly..he's thinking: "Okay you guys..take the picture..people are staring at us.."

Okay I have major OCD...not a secret. With OCD, the SMALLEST detail can drive you insane!

We leave this morning from our Colorado Springs hotel and walking out I noticed the dust caps came off one of the trailer tires...so I said something " Ummm...hey baby..this one doesn't look right? It's not matching the others"

The Mr: "Oh my gosh, thank you. We have to get that fixed before we go any further.."

I followed him with my back towards him as he was walking off...waiting for a pat on the back..nothing.nada.he didn't notice..

He thought it was all fixed and went to pull out and Happypants behind us noticed it flew off again...I threw out the package {Duh! To clean up..it's what I do...} and we had to go and dig through the garbage for the package to return it and get another....

But the thing is: I told him, "This is God's way of stalling us. There is a reason for everything!We will take this as a sign..." he agreed! :)

Very beautiful part of the country..Colorado is amazing!

Well, tomorrow we should be reaching our destination...phew! Everything as gone as planned and even better as planned. Couldn't be better...Let's hope tomorrow is just as good!

We met these bicyclists (Kendall and Rachel) in Wyoming..somewhere @ some rest stop. These two are riding their bikes across country! They have been on the road for 5 weeks now and heading Virginia! They started in Seattle. Nope. Not for me! However we got the blogs of these two and found more blogging buddies! Amazing they are! The guy-Kendall, never owned a bike before and bought his first bike for this trip! EEEKKK!!! Can you say SORE!!!!!!
