Now What???

I had a very interesting conversation with a brand new Mom at the Mr's company picnic..
She asked..
"So, now that you and the Mr. have your home or you going to try for a baby?"
?????????????????????????????????????
Huh? What?
I had to actually think of this.
I answered,
"I'm not sure if we can afford me not working? We are so comfortable where we are at in our lives...I dunno?"

So, That brings me to you Mommies out there..
I'm a planner.
I planned to pay off our vehicles.
I planned when to buy this house..
I plan vacations..
I have lists of lists around our home!
How can you plan on bringing a new life in the world.
Realistically?
I would love to have a wonderful baby as wonderful as the Mr.
How wonderful?
How exciting.
I would be honored.
However,
my brain goes into planning mode...
Oh well.
If the good Lord blesses us,
then it was meant to be.
Everything happens for a reason.
Have a wonderful blessed day :)

Baby Girl was totally unplanned, in fact we had children on our "life list" happening in 2014! Everything will happen when it is supposed to : )

We "planned" when to start trying for a family and God had other plans and showed us He was ready for us to start sooner! I don't think you will ever feel fully ready, but in the end it always works out. :)

Honestly...you can never plan enough for a baby. There is so much that could be unexpected.
My husband and I got pregnant unexpectedly. I had a job but quit when I was 2 months pregnant due to morning sickness and poor management. We were living off my husband's income...check to check...we managed perfectly fine but also had the help of WIC. Diapers, wipes, formula, all the baby's needs are expensive. But somehow God ALWAYS provides when you need him too. But it also taught us how to save and provide for a little one ourselves.
Hope some of this helped!

If you wait & plan on having one when you an "afford" them, then you never will...trust me!

Children are not cheap, but to me they are not something you put on the back burner and say, lets wait until the school loans are paid off, or until we can move to a bigger house or lets wait and see how things are looking two years from now.

Trust me hon, they are treasures worth every penny and you will find a way to make it work no matter what.....don't wait! They will pay you back ten fold!

Hey pretty girl,
I am a creature of planning myself but I learned with pregnancy that it is so unpredictable and in the end it is in God's hands when you finally do get your miracle! As for being financially set, girl I think as much as we plan for that you will never be as set as ya want but when you welcome that bundle of joy it won't matter a bit, you'll get buy and things will be bright and cheery and fun....so whenever ya'll are ready I say go for it....

I feel ya girl! I plan for everything myself, and just don't know how to handle the baby stuff. When do you let go of your lists and let planning fly out the window? Fill me in if you find answers = )

My little guy wasn't planned. In fact, we found out I was 3 months pregnant a month before our wedding! Yikes!!! We had to change some stuff around and our life has been a little different, but so worth it. My advice, just let things fall into place and whatever will be will be. Don't let others pressure you, but if you feel ready, don't worry about the other stuff. It will all work out ;)

I'm so glad to see you're back!!

While we fought and planned to have a child, BG still showed up when we weren't planning on it! It's almost like the more you plan, the more God desires to give you a little surprise! Don't worry, no matter how much you plan, you will never be prepared!

Ha ha, don't know if you want me to respond to this. As you know there are 6 little wonders in my life. Ok, some are almost full grown now. Um....PLANNING?
Let me say this. If you desire to keep a neat, tidy, predictable and planned lifestyle...then kids aren't for you. They take all the aforementioned and shove it out the window.
When you are ready to jump out of your comfort zone and see things in a way you have NEVER seen them before...then by all means start now...you aren't getting younger...take the leap Jo or for heaven's sake I will come down there and do some Kokopeli yard augmentation with dances for fertility and scare off your neighbors...he he he

No need to plan for this one sweetie. Just let things happen and see what god/life has in store for you.

You would be an AMAZING mom Jody! As would Daren be an AMAZING dad! You two have so much love to give and share. After they're in your life you can't think of it any other way.

You can always adopt too. There are soooo many kids out there wanting a family; someone to love them. You guys would be perfect!

You don't have to quit your job in order to have a family. I know it's ideal, but millions of people do it everyday. It's harder without family close by I know. But you'll figure it out. I promise. Love ya sweetie. Call if you want to talk. I'd love to hear from you anyways.

Lets gather around the campfire And sing our campfire song Our C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song And if you don't think that we can sing i...
