I didn't think it would get that warm at all..

On beautiful mornings,

The sun is warm on your face and just a nice

welcome to the Day ahead.

I love it.

I sit here, sip on my tea, and just

think ...

He's so funny.

He's a fanatic about this pool.

Which, I really appreciate he is.

Because you'll never see me cleaning this thing!

I would fall in.

I can't swim as it is...

I can float on devices and that's it.

So, our high was in the low 70's over the weekend....

The Mr. and I are not 'drinkers' at all.

more like,

'social' drinkers.

I have to ask him what I like...

That's how much we drink.

Once in a while a beer or something...

But if we are at a gathering or something...

and I hear,

"would you like a drink?"

It sounds classy in a weird way...

{BUT always decline b/c we are driving...scared of the little blue men with red & blue lights. They are scary}

reminds me of soap operas or some kind of movie I watched. Where they go to the liquor cabinet and get a drink. I always watch them make something and think?..

How do they know what to carry?

So, when moving here to Arkansas we've had a few gatherings with people who have a bar in their home and it's so neat looking.

So, I saw this "Birdcage Wine Rack" and freaked!

How perfect!

The Mr. just looked at me...

"We don't drink, let alone enough to have a wine rack in our home"

Me: pleading and cupping my hands together...

"PPPPLLLLLEEEAAAASSSEEEEE...It's a BIRDCAGE!"

He caved.

So, we love it and it looks classy.

After having it in our home, he really likes it.

So,

We went to the liquor store and tried to fill it up.

Us both, not having 1 idea how to make drinks.

So, I grabbed the manager

{the Mr. headed to the clearance section??? Clearance? In a liquor store? yup.}

So, I told the manager what drinks we like..

He filled my cart up,

then told us how to mix them.

FUN!

{in all honesty...they are all still sitting there..social drinkers...}

But so far, we really like our Bloody Mary's.

Yum!

A co-worker told me about this little bottle of heaven.

Chocolate Wine!!

Oh.my.land.

I have purchased 5 bottles and they are all gone.

Not by us.

We took bottles with us to dinner party's.

A total hit with everyone.

Gave some away for Christmas with personalized wine glasses...and took a bottle to the scrapbook retreat.

The ladies loved it!

Well, we weren't expecting anything.

It was for the neighbors next door....booo...

He exhausted me!

It fell on a Sunday,

and stopped the whole town on Monday

morning!

I was scheduled to work and NOOOO

phone call from our manager...

from anyone if we were closed...

could not get a hold of anyone who knew anything...

So I beeeeegggggeeeeddd the Mr. to drive me to work

Monday morning,

to at least take care of the animals.

{our kennel person was unable to make it to work the prev. day}

Not hearing a word...so I headed to work.

In my BRAND NEW CAR!

Gulp.

The car handled amazingly excellent.

{The Mr. is an amazing driver too :)}

So, as suspected not a soul at work.

So he and I started taking care of the animals....

THEN.

I get a text from my manager..

"We are closed...due to snow"

GAHHHHH!!!!

Oh well.

We took care of them and I stayed with one of the Dr's that showed up, with 1 other tech, and 1 receptionist.

Took cancellations all day.

Good times.

I love the snow.

It reminds me of Home.

If only we had

snowmobiles...

Well, it's no secret

in our little household my fav thing to watch

{and always have going on in the background}

if I'm just too busy to watch TV.

Murder Mysteries That are real Life!

I'm talking about the

wife was killed by her husband and the whole time your yelling at the TV.

"I know you did it Mr!"

"Eww....Oh I bet it was the mailman who did it..

"Yip. He did it for the insurance money!"

Well, the Mr. says I watch soooo many of them that he never worries about me,

because I'm constantly referring to an episode I've watched recently.

I don't trust repairman coming to our house especially if I'm home alone.

I tell'em my dog bites and please don't pet her.

I never say her name around them.

{she will turn to Jell-O}

Well!

So, last week I was home alone on my day off.

Doing laundry, packing for my Scrapbook Retreat, la-la-la.

So, about 10:30 the door bell rang.

I was just about to jump into the shower.

I FROZE!

{I was good in freeze tag in school.}

What do I do!!!?

I freaked!!!

I'm not expecting company!!

We live kinda out here, not a drive-by location!

Oh My Gosh!

Someone is checking to see if someone is home or not!

If I don't answer will they break in!?

I'm in the birthday suit!

This can't be happening!

{yes, in the 1 second after the bell rang.

I honestly thought all this}

Meanwhile, back on the homestead my viscous protector is sawing logs on

her temperpetic dog bed.

drooling.

snoring LOUD.

Yip.

She's my vicious guard dog.

I shake her!

"Kelly! Wake Up! Who's here!?"

Trying my darnest to get her all rawled up to let the intruder know

I have an attack ~~sleepy~~ dog!

She barks a meek little bark.

I repeat myself.

She tears through the house barking at something she has no idea

what.

She has no clue.

Meanwhile, I'm in the bathrobe.

Hiding in the hall.

Peeking around the corner looking at the front door.

The Mr. just couldn't wait to trade his truck in for the

handsome truck.

Very nice.

He searched and searched all over for this truck.

Its the Ford Platinum Edition.

This is a 2009.

It's used, and in great condition.

Looks new, and only 6,000 miles on it.

You'd cry if I typed the price..

He got a great deal!

Our other vehicles were just giving out.

Gotta have something reliable to drive to work...

My wonderful hairdresser introduced me to this

{vs. the Brazillian Blowout. This is not this}

Wow.

What a difference.

smooth.

silky.

manageable.

no fly aways.

great for the humidity here.

Love it!!

I think the hardest thing ever was the after care ,

prior to your first

shampooing.

No clips,

ponytails,

pulling hair back,

do not put hair behind ears,

no sunglasses on head,

DO NOT SWEAT!

Sleep with a silk scarf around head.

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR WET!

Absolutely no creases in hair!

for 72 hours.

On the last day of my hair-marathon..

I was feeling good about all this.

I was at work,

had my appt. to go have her shampoo & style right after work..

I was doing a dental on a dog.

The ultrasonic scaler spits out water...

I looked down,

half way through.

My hair was soaked.

On the ends.

My heart sank.

MY HAIR!

I dried it quickly and tried to smooth it out...

It's all good now.

I highly recommend this to women who hate fighting with their hair.

But do your homework!

Investigate.

Make sure they are certified to do this!

I guess the company has a list of saloons that have had the proper training and will let you know if it's a fraud...

I guess it can be messed up bad!

I 've read some awful reviews that women were done wrong...

The sweet gal who did my hair is redoing a girl who was lied to and had her hair fried!

I asked a load of Q's and asked again...

This is ,

and can be very

$$$$expensive$$$$$.

Hopefully you have a great relationship with your stylist that she will be honest with you.

I have been going to the same gal since day 1, here in Arkansas.

I have been loyal to her and my nail lady.

Addicting I say!

After we moved out to Arkansas it just got worse.

I talked so much about it at work and tried and tried to get one person involved so I could have something to talk about..

She finally caved in and she got the rest of the clinic hooked.

Yes!!

Dexter fans we are!

I was really scared at first b/c everyone presented themselves in a different way and I was nervous that if they knew I liked such a revolting series.

{c'mon he does kill people. but he's Dexter. It's okay.

And it's just TV}

I would be judged harshly.

So I felt my way through first.

I once dated a {creep} guy who once convinced me I was mentally disturbed b/c I liked things in order/clean...he had me go on Paxil for this...he convinced the Dr. I was mentally disturbed and the Dr. actually asked me...

"Jody, when you shut a door is it shut? How many times do you lock the door?"

Yip! He drilled me and I was convinced I was mental...

He was the professional.

He knew more than me....

I wasn't normal.

I had to struggle with this.

I went into severe depression,

b/c if I even clean or organized...

He'd go into a frenzy!

It was very depressing that cleanliness and keeping things looking nice was a known as a mental disorder.

Did I mention he was an ex?

After meeting my wonderful-clean-organized-normal-sweet husband

I was back to myself.

He loved me for ME.

I wasn't ashamed of being me.

He loves and appreciates a clean home.

Our home HAS to smell and look like we don't have animals.

Now, when I was growing up..

I never once heard my Mom say:

Not NOW though..they are both keep a spotless home. :)

Hello.

My name is Buddy.

Well, that's what they call me.

They?

"They" are the strangers that feed me and let me play with their human kids on Sundays when I go down to the church.

Let me tell you about my life so far.

I had a family. once.

A couple years ago my familys home burned down and they got out.

and left me.

Left me here at this burned down home.

Will they come back and get me? I'm still here at this burned down home waiting.

Until then, I go around the neighborhood and these kind humans feed me and kids play with me. But I always return home.

You will always find me here.

I'm what they call a Deer Dog {????}

Perhaps I was mistaken for a Deer?

Someone shot me in the head,and now I have a bullet and pieces of metal in my nose and neck.

Which makes it hard to breath.

I make awful noises and sounds...this is what alerted one of the people who feeds me on occasion.

She took me to these great people at a Vet's office and they will do surgery on me.

But I'm in no one's family.

So this nice Vet clinic and nice strangers took up donations for me to have this surgery.

Maybe I will get a family after this!!!

Enough people will hear my story and want to adopt me!

I'm loving and caring.

I will be very grateful for a warm place to sleep.

The winter is coming and it gets cold.

For some awful reason...

The Mr. and I,

have extremely bad luck with two things..

coffee pots.

and.

cameras.

This coffee machine has been the best thing ever!

Fresh cup and can always have different flavors..

I do like GOOD coffee.

I like the Foo-Foo coffees...

Living in Seattle has "spoiled me rotten" with good coffee...

However, this lil' machine..

It's like going to the Cafe and having self serve!

Iced coffee,

hot tea {yummy Green Tea!},

iced tea {gross.not a fan},

flavored coffee,bold,mild coffee...

Oh! And Hot Apple Cider!!!{leg kick}

Loving this machine!

{eyes wide, and extremely excited at this moment!}

The Mr. comes home at night and looks forward to his coffee.

Great machine and highly recommend it.

We did it!

After months of research, going from dealer to dealer, comparing other vehicles to this....we made our decision.

Well, the Jeep Liberty was becoming unreliable....

{it was good to me while it lasted..}

Nothing compares to this little Lady..

Meet our newest addition to the family.

A Cadillac SRX

We love it!

I tell ya,

"Kit" from Knight Rider

has nothing on the Little Lady!

It's amazing and more.

The Mr. is on sensory overload..

he's overwhelmed with what this car does, have, and can do..

I just drive.

He's playing with every gadget!

Takes the manual to bed and reads about it.

The one thing this car has that I fell in love with was..

it has cooled seats.

I could not find another vehicle that had this feature..

Well, in my $ range..

C'Mon! It's awesome! It's hot. Muggy.. And the sun roof is the length of the car {almost}...so the sun beating down in the summer time....yip. That's right...cooled seats, I say!

I had a very interesting conversation with a brand new Mom at the Mr's company picnic..

She asked..

"So, now that you and the Mr. have your home or you going to try for a baby?"

?????????????????????????????????????

Huh? What?

I had to actually think of this.

I answered,

"I'm not sure if we can afford me not working? We are so comfortable where we are at in our lives...I dunno?"

So, That brings me to you Mommies out there..

I'm a planner.

I planned to pay off our vehicles.

I planned when to buy this house..

I plan vacations..

I have lists of lists around our home!

How can you plan on bringing a new life in the world.

Realistically?

I would love to have a wonderful baby as wonderful as the Mr.

How wonderful?

How exciting.

I would be honored.

However,

my brain goes into planning mode...

Oh well.

If the good Lord blesses us,

then it was meant to be.

Everything happens for a reason.

We Can't Decide!

There are so many chandeliers out there!

Weird ones, crazy ones, and there are some that makes you scratch your head and say:

"I'd never pick that, but somehow it looks good in here..."

It's not like we can't decide b/c we can't agree...

It's just that we would like to know our selection first,

then decide...

but the selection won't stop and the more we look the more we can't decide!!

Gahhh!!

They are a huge majority that is just beautiful!

I don't want huge, and it drowns the house.

But I would like the look of it to set the feel of the home???

Something that when you walk in you see it but your eyes keep moving...not fixate on the darn thing!

We Are Finally Moved In! Phew!

Okay, we have been crazy-busy-bees lately!
I have not been blogging alot lately,
due to the fact that we have moved into our new home!
WE LOVE IT!!!
Okay we have been unpacking and settling in now,
b/c when we both get back to work...we will have no time and will we dog tired in the evenings....
But following are a few pics to get you an idea of what's up!!!

The Mr. worked his hind end off,
putting up these shelves for me and making it perfect for me!
He's so wonderful and such a sweetheart.
He stayed up til after 1 a.m. and got little sleep.
Meanwhile he never complains of lack of sleep or being tired...
I LOVE him so!

But got the idea of what I'm in store for?

Ugh!! I do love to organize and stuff....

But I had to have this cute rack!
Just b/c it looks like a Bird Cage!
Ha! We aren't even drinkers....we have wine, alcohol, and tequila from Mexico that we haven't even tapped into yet!
But loving the bird cage-wine rack...now I gotta get me some wine glasses/bar glasses to match it...

The Mr. cleaning the pool....he loves it!
He even got up one morning at 6:30(with a huge smile on his face..)...just to clean the pool!!
He says it's relaxing and really enjoys it.
I'm pretty sure we have the cleanest pool in Hot Springs...

He's so handsome. :)

But this is our backyard area.

Very relaxing and comforting.

Very quiet....love it.

And to top the Day Off!

I baked some goodies for the Mr.

I just made it up...

(I'm awful at following directions for recipes! I never have all the ingredients!..awful I say...)

Anyhow it contains :

Graham cracker crust with coconut shavings....

mixed with toffee chunks..

with white chocolate macadamia nut cookies layered on top....

He heats it back up in the microwave and tops it off with vanilla yogurt ice cream...

My Heart goes out to these brave people

who are trapped in the mine in "Chile"

for 4 months!!

Can you imagine????!!

Yesterday while out shopping with the Mr.

Going to "Bed Bath & Beyond" is always a treat to the senses...

Then much to my surprise..

Fall Items are out!!

How exciting!

Fall is my most favorite season!

Cold enough for a sweater...but can still wear a long skirt with cute boots..

I love scarves!!

Oh and the cute gloves!

The smell of homes are filled with Pumpkin Spice and

such welcoming aromas....ahhhh...:)

You know I had mixed emotions of what I'm about to blog about.

Some people have a different way of going about things in life.

This blog.

This blog,

my Dad loved.

He thought it was

"so neat"

{as he would say}

He was my number 1 fan.

I received at the LEAST an e-mail from him once a day,

commenting on my blog.

If I took a break

-boy!

I'd hear about it.

He loved my blogging,

he loved hearing about my rants and raves,

loved hearing how wonderful the Mr. is to me..

But no more.

I will never see another e-mail from him.

Will never hear his gruff voice again.

He passed on last night.

There are so many little things I'll miss about him.

Too many to list...

He had a huge heart for his family...he loved his family.

I still keep remembering him as when I was a little girl.

He always smelled like "Old Spice".

Dressed nice.

His laugh...he had a different laugh..

he always said,

.."you see.." after every sentence..

I can still picture how he did his hair.

I have his crooked middle fingers.

Everytime I look at my hands.

I see him.

I will miss him very much

and at the same time,

still make him proud everyday

of me.

I miss you Dad.

Your finally at peace and not suffering anymore.

I love you very much.

we had our check off sheet...

things that we really wanted in our home..

This home fit the bill.

He's got his shop.

I got my pool. ;)

It's only 3 bedroom though...boo....

But that's cool. I would have liked a four bedroom.

But The Mr. was like a little kid when he saw this shop.

Nice.

Very nice.

It even has it's own bathroom and shower! :)

This is the awful stuff I have to put up with ALOT at work..

Mean, cruel, nasty people who treat animals this way.

Why?

What would possess someone to do such an awful thing?

This dog was found in the bushes, in 105 degree heat.

STARVED TO DEATH!!!!

She's very friendly and sweet.

I would love to find this person and do the same thing to them.

There is NO excuse for this kind of behavior.

It was the best-est Mexican food we've ever had!

Not all the food tasted the same..

It was wonderful!!

As well as most of you know...

The Mr. and I have posted on our fridge, a running "Wish List".

One column for him,me, and us.

Well, I have had an item on their FOREVER!

The get permanent Make-Up.

Eyeliner and Eyebrows.

I did it!!

I just made the appointment (did research first..)

and went in and did it.

I love it!!!!

Not sure what in the heck took me sooooo long

but I love it and it was THE BEST $$$$$ spent!

Oh my gosh!

The advantages it brings are endless!!

It's been 5 weeks now and I love it more and more daily...

However the pain.

Oh The Horrible pain!!!

If your a wimp.

I do not recommend this.

I'm a big fat baby and that is the ONE thing I never thought about.

Duh Jody!

But she's amazing!

She has people from ALL AROUND THE U.S. fly to her!

From Florida, California,....

She doesn't advertise at all.

It's all word of mouth.

I like her B/C she does the make-up

to where as you age

it doesn't look ridiculous!

If anyone wants her name and phone number...not a problem.

However I go in,

and she starts at the eyebrows

(after a consultation...)

B/C it doesn't hurt as bad..

BULL!

Then to the eyelids....

I had tears streaming down my face.

LOOONg story short.

I wanted it soooo bad, that it was mind over matter after that...

I was determined to get it down.

I'm sooo happy. I love it.

The Mr. Is THRILLED with it!

First thing he says when he sees me is:

"Baby, there are big huge guys who get tattoos all over their body and they are tough..and then, there's YOU who is scared to death of needles and pain and you get a tattoo on your EYES!The most sensitive place on your body!

Your the toughest person I know!

Good job baby!"

He's saying all this- and laughing in a "I-can't-believe-you-did-this-tone"

As I'm standing there with swollen eyes...raised,scabbed eyebrows!

I look like a ridiculous cartoon character exaggerated!

(The ink has to set in-so at first, it's very vibrant and BOLD!

It's fades to a more even color...)

But anyhow...after my appointment was said and done-

I was standing there going over aftercare instructions...

Then, the room went black.

I FLIPPIN" PASSED OUT!

She freaked!

Wanted to call 911.

I wanted to die. I was soooo

embarrassed.

But in all.

It's done and over with.

And now I get to reap the rewards!

Set The Scene:

At work. (I'm a Vet. tech)

In an exam room with 2 very sad and upset owners of a dog,

in which- are saying good-bye to a very dear family friend.

They are sending their friend to Doggie-Heaven.

very emotional....

Me:

I have an awful cold.

Congested.Coughing.Sneezing.

You name it.

I'm going through my own personal hell.

AND to top it off.

My nose will not stop running.

To be able to properly assist the Dr. in this procedure,

I have to hold the front leg vein off for the Dr.

!!!!!THIS DOG BITES !!!

So I have to hold the dogs' head towards the owners so that is the last thing they see.

Their beloved parents.

(Really- it's to keep the dog from biting the Dr's face off...but it looks good..)

So both Hands are full.

u.n.a.b.l.e. to let go!!!

There goes the nose.

Dripping.

Oh yeah baby...full on Dripp-age!!!

I can feel coming out my nose,

it is the worst part!!!!!

And I cannot do a thing about it.

I'm thinking:

"Well, if I let go and wipe my nose. The dog will bite his face.

Not good. Crap!"

So, while the owners are crying and saying good-bye...I put my head down

for gravity to flow off my face.

(I looked the opposite direction so no one could see what was happening with my nose)

Oh yeah. I got a looooooooong stream of snot.

I kept my head down.

Sniffling like crazy to get in back up.

FINALLY! I let go and grabbed tissue and walked out quietly.

Blowing my nose! Thank you very much! :0

After I left,

the sweet owners were concerned and asked the Dr.

if I always get this sad and emotional.

I DO!!!!

But this particular time/moment I was focused on

my nose.

This is the worst part of my job.

Due to hardworking, looooong days, nights of going to sleep without the Mr. next to me...

It has finally paid off!

We are proud to announce we are

DEBT FREE!!!

We own our vehicles.

No more flippin' debt!

Don't owe no-stinkin'-body a dime!

We are happy to pay our monthly utilities and on our renter...that's it.

Phew!

she apparently has so much to say to whomever and it's sooooooo important she has to rudely shine her beacon of a phone on everyone!

She could have called a ship in from the fog with that thing!!!

So, The Mr.

(whom is always embarrassed b/c i always say something...)

leans over her sternly and just as annoyed as me,

tells her to turn it off it's bright and annoying!

For his birthday yesterday he wanted to go more

boat shopping.

He will look at everything and anything once,twice, three times..and then all over gain. He grabs brochures on everything he's interested in, studies it, does research, he takes his time picking out something....

while, he's intently deciding and analyzing everything!

I'm make drastic decisions...he thinks{and thinks} about them.

I do love him for it..

because if I'm trying to decide on something..

he'll take the time to do all this research!

At all.

We make a great fit in that department...

I just go take pictures of things and go find trouble elsewhere until he's ready..

I have to be on my feet anywhere from 9 to 12 hours a day...

{don't feel bad for me..I'm use to this}

But alot of the time, without sitting down or resting once..

until I get home.

So, having comfort for my feet is so very important!

So we just walked in the door from Shreveport, LA.

We went to go boat shopping and of course....to hang out at the most wonderful-awesome-ness place ever!

just how the store is decorated is enough to go see...

So we continued our hot-sweaty-muggy day walking around at all the shops...

We see these kids

being put in plastic, and then the ball around them- blown up with a leaf blower!

and then put in a lil' pool!

We saw this the other day when we were out on the lake with some friends and I wanted to get a closer look

but we were too far away!

But we saw this person being pulled by a boat and this ball skipping across the water tossing around this person inside.

I WANT ONE.

How Flippin' FUN!!

But doesn't this image just scream

ORIFICES!

However, we were laughing and taking pics..

This does look like alot of fun :)

What a way to make a comeback, show our trip to Graceland!

This was a great tour!

For all the die-hard Elvis fans out there..

(I'M RAISING MY HAND HIGH IN THE AIR!)

This is a must see.

His home was purchased back in the time for $100,000.

I thought his home would be more grandour, however in the time it was huge! It was alot of $$$$

He sure lived a glam life...

He Loved Bling..{man after my heart...sigh*}

He was also a very giving man.

Always buying things..{oh cars..nothing big..gulp..}for others!

He loved his cars!

He had a nice collection....

On the way home I had to stop and think:

We were in Elvis Presley's home.

HIS FLIPPIN" HOME!

Where he ate, went to the bathroom, took a shower, shared moments with Pricella..

He ate his breakfast there!

He played his music, thought up music...

He laughed, maybe even cried here in this HOME.

And we were there.

It was very surreal.

I'm so happy we went.

I can't think of anybody in history NOW who is still so loved and admired by millions,

years after his passing.

Children even now a days,

grow up and know who he is.

That says alot, for how he must have made an impact on people.

I'll make a prediction:

Michael Jackson will have the next home/property tour.

Maybe not now.

But somewhere down the road.

He also made an impact on this generation of music

and people.

I grew up listening to Michael Jackson...

I'll be in line waiting to see
